Sleep isn't a gap between the parts of your day that matter. In Existence, it's one of the four Pillars, Work, Life, Health, and Sleep, which means it gets tracked, accounted for, and designed with the same intention as everything else you do.
Here's two ways to set up your sleep schedule and the fastest way to build it.
1. Setting sleep as a recurring Time Block
Because sleep tends to follow a pattern, when you create a Sleep Time Block you can set a repeat cadence that matches your actual rhythm and it repeats forward automatically.
Build it once, and it holds its place on your calendar. Then, each week as you Design Your Week you can account for nights when you know your regular sleep schedule will allow for more or less sleep.
2. The faster way: the sleep configurator
Building a repeating sleep schedule manually works, but there's a quicker path built specifically for this: the sleep configurator. It's designed to let you lay out your ideal sleep schedule in one pass rather than building and adjusting individual blocks.
You'll find it in the Getting Started checklist, in the Set Sleep Schedule task. It's not currently surfaced anywhere else in the app, so if you're looking for it later, that checklist is the place to go.
